I generally agree. Most of the humor in Duke 3D is actually in the environments. As a character Duke really isn't there. Him saying the same 6 one liners stolen from movies over and over hardly counts as comedy. But at the time it was exciting.

Sounds like there was an urgent issue to solve.
Replying to @r4ych_
Yeah, again after generations have passed. Nobody who established the state of Israel was around for when it there last. That's the whole purpose of the original Zionist movement - to make home for Jews who kept getting kicked out of everywhere else.
Replying to @r4ych_
"Patriotism" in a modern sense, to me, is just an artificial system of control produced by a state. Nobody needs it to be motivated to actually be productive for society. Rejecting patriotism & being critical of state & demanding better treatment of citizens is, imo, healthier.

The reason for that is that Double Fine has a regular event called "Amnesia Fortnight", where all of the employees get to pitch a 2 week project, & a handful gets picked & worked on. Tim always said that whatever doesn't get picked isn't the property of DF, but MS disagrees.

Real answers:
MS-DOS (or 86-DOS back then) was a clone of CP/M, which used forward slashes for program parameter switches, so it inherited that.
Directory support was added much later (root only originally), and since forward slash was taken, backwards slash it was.

With drives even easier: original IBM PC had a capability of having two floppy drives, but NO hard drives at all. HDD support was also added later (just like directories, in version 2), and since replacing A or B drives could break compatibility, the logical solution was C.

.... You do realize you're talking to an account that covers games from 80s and 90s daily, right? Or do you need a specific of games that are over 6 years old and are not in the tops of charts? Because that list is gonna be much longer than a dozen titles.
Replying to @SheriefFYI
And about the second?
Replying to @SheriefFYI
Have you played Max Payne 3 recently? It looks fine. And anyone playing a game made today after the 2030 will understand a slight drop in visual fidelity because they'll know they're playing an old game. And you can trust me on that one because that's my bread & butter on here.

So, Furiosa is a fine Mad Max film. It is probably the movie everyone expected Fury Road to be before getting blindsided by it. It is much more in line with the 3rd and 1st one, which is sort of what I expected.
Replying to @dosnostalgic
A movie like Fury Road only happens once. And it was a good decision to not try to copy it. Even the action in Furiosa is stylistically different, this time focusing on longer takes showing off the inner workings of things. Chris Hemsworth gets to be super Australian for once.
