Say what you want about Clickteam and their tools, but 32 bit stuff made with them still runs comfortably on modern Windows, and 16 bit stuff can be easily converted. You may have noticed that the CD version of Alone in the Dark 2 has additional 3D animations not present in the floppy version. That's because they are not actually real time 3D, but large stylized 2D animations. #DOSGaming

I think the floppy version is the superior one. Just because it's shorter (CD version added a new section for Grace), and you don't have to put up with overly dramatic readings.
CD version, however, added a teleport skip in the beginning (instead of fixing balance in the opening)

That person also isn't playing Raising Dead right either. Looking down via Page Down (Home to center view again) allows for easier killing of the skulls, as well as removal of mushrooms and mugs with poison. Not that it makes the game much better, but still.
It's time to revisit "Exporting Raymond", one of my all time favorite documentaries. It's a doc about cultural differences, universal similarities, and stubbornness. One particular scene is top human documentary material. I recommend it highly.

Well, it is definitely Quake-inspired in its art direction more than anything else, and there have been plenty of screenshots of Quake at the time, as well as QTest has been out for half the year.
Chasm: The Rift, MadSpace, and Z.A.R. all list a 486DX100 as their minimum specs. As someone who actually has a 486DX100 I kind of want to put that to a test.

Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Bigbug. It isn't one of his better films, but I found it delightfully entertaining. It is so over the top that it has more in common with Delicatessen than his later films. The setup was probably worthy of a smarter payoff, but still it was fun.

TIL about "Imp", a 2001 fighting game by Idol FX (Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi, Drake of the 99 Dragons) which apparently was released on 50 (!) CDs because each disc was dedicated to a single fighter.
