1998's Do U nailed the animated sprites pretty much exactly, BUT those 1 pixel outlines that a lot of 2D cartoony computer games used back then take away from it a bit, and pre-rendered 3D backgrounds are kind of a shame.

Here's another scene. Yes, this is real. The amount of digital special effects is also completely insane for 2001. Like they are shooting *on location* here, but then rotoscoping so much just to lay all the effects over. Lots of smearing & noise from first HD cameras.

I have no idea if the film is on any streaming services, BUT I do know that it had an English dub at one point. If you're not against looking into people's pores, confusing camera angles, quick edits & shaky camera, BUT also are into dumb movies that look cool, I recommend it.

Yeah, Germany is the only country with a 3D release, and it looks like the conversion was done in 2011. I have a 3D tv, but my 3D player isn't multi-region, otherwise I'd order the disc just to see if it can make me vomit.

They went into production without a script. Thompson came in later during the production to help fill in the story gaps between the songs, before departing to work on other projects. The finished product doesn't really use her dialogue. Her draft is available online.

I'm still shocked how overlooked this game is. It's a shame that a lot of Descent fans haven't heard about it. Even the music is by the composers of the first three games. It has multiplayer and VR support as well.

Studios, more stuff like this, please. 👆 Let people see prototypes and in-development versions. Tell stories about how long it took to change a major part of the project, and how many people were involved. All of that leads to people understanding gamedev more.

Там много есть теперь с субтитрами. Раньше не самые лучшие переводы были, но теперь есть хорошие. И реставрации изображения тоже замечательные.

Прокат кино в Америке, как и всё остальное, частный. Если что-то в него не выходит, это не от государства зависит. А в 70-е вообще на каждом шагу порнотеатры и грайндхаусы были, показывали вообще ВСЁ что всего света, главное чтоб было за что деньги взять.
