I'm sort of surprised by how much promo he's personally doing for this book.
Replying to @falselogic
But I think it's nice that he's actually doing all the promo himself. Like, just like a regular person with no budget. Going on niche social media groups, appearing on YT channels with barely any subscribers, etc.

It's weird to play games made/produced by Sid Meier and Ken Williams as a kid, and then finally be old enough to read memoirs of both. I'm sure it felt ever weirder to write them.
I'm sad to see Macromedia Director commits stop on ScummVM github, but I've seen how much work was done, and know that some day someone else will pick it up, and we'll get something amazing out of it.

Apparently while staying in his house avoiding Covid, Stephen Soderbergh reedited 3 of his films. "Kafka" is reportedly *very* different from the original version, while "Schizopolis" and "Full Frontal" are tighter edits. Honestly I want to see all three.
Replying to @dosnostalgic
Schizopolis is one of my favorite Soderbergh films, and despite the fact that I love all of it, including the deleted scenes, it could use a shorter version that flows better. Basically the same for Full Frontal.
Replying to @dosnostalgic
I never particularly cared for Kafka, ambitious as it is. None of it clicked for me. But apparently this new version will have rewritten dialogue, additional footage shot *12 years* after the fact and IS GONNA BE DUBBED ENTIRELY IN GERMAN?!?!?!

Daggerfall also has an optional benefit of having a modern fan reimplementation, which fixes many bugs, adds some new features, and is just generally easier on the eyes than the emulated DOS version.

Thanks to @BigHairyMarty I've learned that there's an English language demo of the 1997 Russian adventure game "GAG". And it's actually interesting because it's clearly from a work in progress version, rather than a cut down version of the finished product.

Same with installing the Russian version over the English one, and the other way around. They both use the same entry in registry to store the path, and that's how it ids it.
