Looks like the official Russian news are kind of in a pickle, since they want to both present US system as unjust, as well as not show that people can actually violently respond to an oppressive system. So they are concentrating on both police violence *and* looting.

Cosmology of Kyoto (Windows 3.x/Macintosh, 1995) #NotDOS
Replying to @dosnostalgic
Cosmology of Kyto is a prime example of videogames as art. And also the only example of horror - edutainment hybrid. You get to explore Kyoto in 900s, and witness & interact with many events, all of them based on folklore and history.
Replying to @dosnostalgic
There's a point to all of it. You can finish the actual game part, and explore tons of optional stuff. You can also die at the hand of many demons, but you also get reincarnated shortly afterwards.

As someone who has actually read the books I'd have to disagree. Holmes changed a lot over the years, and that particular element of his character was added later.

Also keep in mind that the first few are actually TV movies. That makes them even *more* impressive. Yes, I'm a bit biased, but as someone who has seen many Sherlock Holmes adaptations (haven't seen any from the past 20 years though) I can tell you that nothing tops the Soviet 1s

Infogrames' solutions for the problem of the difficulty of the opening stage were:
- Bundle the re-releases with a cheat program that let you skip parts of the game
- When the CD version was released, they put in a teleport at the start that let you skip the opening completely
