Of course. The entire "Ancient Art of War" series predate it (3 games,) that's on DOS. There are also strategy games that were in real time on consoles, with Herzog Zwei being the most famous example, but there were even older ones too, but I can't remember their names atm.

So last night I went to visit my sick friend to cheer him up, and he suggested we watch a random movie on Prime neither of us have seen before. His choice fell on "Easy Money" with Rodney Dangerfield. And let me tell you, it's been a while since I was *this* baffled by a film.

That whole movie is just a giant WTF of comedy setups that don't get any resolution, and plots that appear at the end of second and third acts that ALSO go nowhere. And there seem to be "payoffs" to things that were never set up.

Rodney is *incredibly* sweaty for about 40% of the film so much so that he wipes the sweat off his face three times during the picture. Those were the *good* takes! For about a quarter of the movie I think he was on cocaine.

Jokes were mostly unfunny, *but* to my surprise it mostly avoided terrible racist and gay jokes that pop up in comedies of this type and time, despite having plenty of moments that seem like setups for them, so I guess... props(?)

It *is* incredibly hard, especially before you acquire a decent arsenal of weapons. But I feel like it's still fair. Default difficulty is pretty much the same as the hardest in any other 90s shooter though.

Nobody decided, it was a limitation of using off the shelf chips. CGA could do 16 colors in text, but there wasn't enough memory left for color storage for graphical mode. So it's essentially RGBi with the B & i fixed, and leaving the choice for R & G to be either 1 or 0

I've used Norton Commander for 30 years. It has its own editor, so I'm still using that. On machines that have Volkov Commander installed I use editor from Freedos instead.
So Beneath a Steel Sky sequel is arriving 25 years after the original. That's a pretty big gap between games, but I'm certain there are sequels with even ones, right?

I never dealt with the customer directly, so I have no idea how old they were, and neither do any sources that claim to. And I accepted the coupon, they got their 20¢ off, and everyone had a good laugh. It was a story with a happy ending.
