While wavetable cards offer an ability for the user to change the wavetable, that could only be done through proprietary software from the manufacturer. Games are not gonna be doing that, and General MIDI as a standard doesn't include such a function.

It runs great on any 32 bit system. Works perfectly fine in Windows 3.x in DosBox. There's also a 64 bit patch for this version, as well as a later reissue of the game that's 32 bit, and therefore runs fine on 64 bit Windows.

They are generated fills, but not all of the dithering in this particular scene is done that way. (There's an option in ScummVM to use a resulting color instead of automatic dithering fills, in case anyone is interested)
