I'm sorry, but UFO: Enemy Unknown is a better title
So... made a list of 1994 DOS games that I'd like to show off and... there's only 46 :/
Oh, nevermind. I was looking at the "most popular" list.
Also keep stumbling onto 1993 titles that I missed. What a year that was!
94 was a helluva year for strategy games though. WarCraft, X-COM, Jagged Alliance, Battle Isle 2, Master of Magic, Colonization. Good stuff!
Replying to @Resulka
Fine. I didn't want to do Ravenloft, but there weren't many notable RPG releases otherwise.
The list has been expanded to 60 titles. Just about right. Almost no RPG games or simulators.
Replying to @Resulka
Yes it was and no, I probably won't feature that one. Only like 5 people know about it & out of those only 2 know how to say it.
Replying to @ben_304
I *might* add Dark Legions to the list.

I might swap some titles for others, but yeah, I've got plenty of strategy games to cover.

Dune 2 is NOT the 1st pc RTS game. Ancient Art of War (arguably) is. Dune 2 made the genre popular & set the template
In fact the template that Dune 2 was so strong, most RTS games are still based on it. That's over 20 years later.

There are plenty of opinions on video games and what they should be. Can't we just stop arguing about them? Just make games the way you like
You don't like someone's game about a bald dude stomping on babies? Don't play it. If it's commercial - don't buy it.

Also remember that movie that tanked horribly at the box office & then you discovered on video & felt like you discovered a buried treasure?
Same with fucking games. People get into games and play games for different reasons.
Film is just an obvious example. Indie film is dead btw.
All "indie" films you actually get to see today usually have a few big players backing it & all have at least 1 star attached.

Have you played video games drunk (by yourself)? It's not fun! They get very difficult!
I remember one of the first times I ever drank vodka. It was winter & my best friend and I split a bottle between us.
When I came home, as soon as I entered my warm apartment it hit me all at once. I had to act normal in front of my mother.
So I immediately booted up the first Captain Comic game, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it past the first pit!
My only fun memories of playing video games drunk come from parties. Mostly Worms 2, actually. That was the shit.
Captain Comic is totally awesome and you should totally attempt to play out drink. (DOS Nostalgia is not responsible for any consequences.)
